3 services to offer virtually as a lash or brow artist
If you’re a lash or brow artist or trainer, you’re probably feeling the effects of COVID-19 on your business more than most. This is a challenging moment for many reasons. Being a lash or brow artist, you know the critical importance of feeling beautiful and how it affects self-confidence, happiness, and overall well being. If you’re wondering what you can do to help clients feel more beautiful during this lockdown, you're not alone.
You’ve chosen to work in an industry full of amazing artists who crave helping people, but with COVID-19, you might be wondering what you can offer your community now that lash and brow services aren't an option. Though you can’t provide these services in-person to your clientele, there’s still so much you can provide - virtually.
HOW TO HELP YOUR CLIENTELLE WITH NO HANDS
1. CREATE A VIRTUAL TRAINING SERIES FOR PROFESSIONALS
How many times have you been asked about training others to do lash extensions, lash lifts, or brow lifts? What about creating a video series training or live webinars where other cosmetologists and estheticians to do these services while they are sitting at home?
Get started easily:
-Buy a mannequin head
-Record your training on your phone or host it live on Zoom or FaceTime
-Edit it in iMovie
-Upload to Vimeo or Youtube and add restrictions so only your students can see it
-Send your students their lash kits with your logo on it.
Online classes typically cost less than in-person classes so we recommend pricing accordingly.
2. CREATE VIRTUAL CLASSES FOR YOUR CLIENTS
Your clients are probably still getting on Zoom calls and although they are at home, they still want to look good. What about doing some at-home training classes?
How to apply lash strips at home easily!
How to apply lash clusters at home easily!
How to properly shape and tweeze your eyebrows.
How to remove your lashes at home.
How to wax your lip at home!
We recommend either charging a very nominal fee or hosting these classes on a donation-only basis.
2. CREATE AN ONLINE MASTERMIND NETWORKING GROUP
Now more than ever, we really need to band together and support one another in our industry. What about hosting a networking mastermind meeting via Zoom for beauty professionals in your area?
