Refresh Your Lash Business in 2020

Refresh Your Lash Business in 2020

Have you owned your lash and brow business for a while? It may be time to freshen it up in order to keep your revenue growing! Where to begin?

People

It may be time to rejuvenate your team culture.

1. Review your team members and move out ones who are no longer performing or committed to your business.

2. How long has it been since your last training on all services? It may be time to do a refresher training on all your services and make sure everyone is up-to-date and performing the services the same way. Check out this 2-Week Training Plan.

3. Hire bright new talent to fill the newly opened positions! Need a step-by-step hiring guide?

Product

It may be time to up your game on the products your lash and brow studio sells.

1. Get retail products with your logo on them to sell to clients. Studies show that client loyalty increases when they use products exclusively sold at a business.

2. Train your staff on retail sales techniques and product uses and benefits.

Tip: Show clients how to use products with a tester product and place the retail product in their hands. When a client is already holding the product and has seen how to use it, they are much more likely to buy it.

3. Create a product sales incentive program if you don't already have one and create a team sales goal each month.

Recommended incentive program for your staff:

Retail sales under $XX = no incentive

Retail sales $XX-$XX = X%

Retail sales $XX-$XX = X%

Retail sales $XX-$XX = X%

PROCEDURE

1. Review your greeting and checkout protocols and make sure they are still serving your clients best. Make sure your entire staff is using the same language and touchpoints outlined in your greeting and checkout protocols.

Do you offer every client tea or water?

Do you always offer to rebook a client?

Do you always ask the client if they need to use the restroom?

2. Review your employee files and make sure they are complete and up-to-date.

Does every employee file have the following?

-A resume

-An application

-An offer letter

-A W4

-An I9 to verify eligibility to work in the US

-Any written warnings

Does every contractor file have the following?

-A contract

-1099

-Contractor handbook (buy one here)

3. Review your service protocols and make sure they are up-to-date with the latest developments.
