How to help your lash client feel comfortable

Updated: Jul 22, 2019

When your client is comfortable in your space, and with you the entire service flows smoothly. When a client feels anxious, too hot or cold, or overall uncomfortable, here are a few tips and tricks to help:

Communicate

One of the things you can do to help them feel more comfortable, is to continuously communicate with them!

For a lot of clients, knowing what is going on can help relieve stress. By telling the client each step, even without the little details, it can help them relax and know they are in trusted and professional hands.

Contact

Don’t break contact!! Always make sure to keep one point of contact with your client. Some estheticians choose to keep one hand on the client at all times. This minimizes the risk of you frightening your client, therefore making them flinch and risk you potentially hurting them.

Speech

Using a calm voice. Sometimes speaking loud can intimidate your clients, and make it hard to retain important information. It is important to use a calm quiet voice during the service.

Aromatherapy

There are certain scents that can promote a calm atmosphere.

Lavender can help release anxiety.

Vetiver has a tranquil, grounding and reassuring energy, and

Ylang Ylang helps with cheerfulness, courage and optimism.

Using an essential oil diffuser or a oil spray can help bring these feelings into your space, and help calm your client.

Keeping your clients comfortable will keep them coming back to YOU! People want to go where they feel welcome and comfortable!
