Do this to get steller lash retention...
The biggest mistake we see lash artists make during the lash application process is not properly cleaning prior to application.
Natural skin and hair protein builds up on the lash line in addition to particles in the air and makeup. This build-up interferes with the lash adhesive's ability to fully absorb into the lash hair cuticle (the outermost part of the hair) and this leads to less-than-stellar attachment.
Think of it this way: You want to bond the extension to the lash, not to dirt on the lash.
Why do lash artists skip this important step?

Not knowing how to properly clean
Steps to properly cleaning the lashes:
Have client lay down.
While client’s eyes are closed, pump foaming cleanser onto disinfected brush or disposable microfiber wands.
Using the brush or wands, apply to lashes.
With your other hand, use your finger to gently stretch the eyelid up towards you so you are able to cleanse between the lash layers and along the waterline.
Move the brush or wands like toothbrush to gently cleanse debris and dead skin cells from the eyelid and the base of the lash line.
Turn client’s head to the side, place a tissue at their temple and rinse with saline (client keeps eyes closed) and switch to other side.
Pat dry with a towel and lightly dry.
